As we stand on the cusp of the AI revolution, a single question kept me awake at night: how can we harness this incredible technology to amplify human potential? This question became the seed for my latest venture, Circuit—a company where AI isn’t just a tool, but a partner in our journey towards building a better world.
My Journey: From Silicon to Circuit
My fascination with AI began in the early days of neural networks. I saw AI’s potential back in the 1990’s. In my master’s thesis, published at the International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC), I explored AI accelerators and concluded there were no practical applications at that time.
So, I shifted to communications. For the next 30 years, I went from being a chip designer to eventually leading Silicon Labs as CEO. I spent three decades innovating on a variety of technologies - mass storage, networking, modems, mobile, radio, TV, and IoT.
But now, as AI reaches a pivotal moment, I’m ready to return to my roots and launch a powerful, trusted, secure AI solution. That’s Circuit.
