Travis Turner

Distinguished Engineer

Travis Turner is a Distinguished Engineer at Circuit, leading the database team and guiding the direction of product architecture.   

Previously, Travis was Chief Architect at Molecula where he led the effort to develop a commercial product named Featurebase and directed the implementation and rollout of the cloud version.

Before Molecula, Travis was Co-Founder and Chief Architect of Umbel responsible for leading the engineering team and building the company’s SaaS analytics platform providing real-time analytics to sports and entertainment companies. During his time there, he developed a proprietary database solution used by the Umbel platform to support real-time queries on billions of events. 

A true innovator at heart, Travis has multiple patents primarily related to the use of bitmap indexes in database technology. Travis received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
